Porsche Downshifts into M.O.M.
June 1998 – Dydacomp Development has added another highly recognized name to its family of Mail Order Manager (M.O.M.) users. Porsche Cars of North America has recently acquired M.O.M. to administer all of the operations for their new catalog sales division.
Porsche learned about the Mail Order Manager catalog management system from one of their consultants who knew of Dydacomp from The Guide to Catalog Management Software by Ernest Schell. "We liked that M.O.M. is PC-based, quick and easy to use.", says Susan Schroeder, Manager of Brand Merchandising. Schroeder further explained that M.O.M. was brought on board specifically to handle inbound activity stemming from an annual catalog distribution of 350,000. "In the past, we’ve been strictly dealer-based. Now we’re looking to sell direct in the [mail order] industry." Susan also made mention of intended plans to develop a web site to further compliment this new direct marketing division.
