The New Jersey Devils Sign Dydacomp to Captain Their Mail Order Team

October 1998 – The 1994-95 Stanley Cup Champion New Jersey Devils have made a key move in the 1998 off-season. The Devils have acquired Dydacomp Development’s catalog management software package, Mail Order Manager (M.O.M.), to step up the performance of their mail order division.

"It’s just tailored for our type of business," says Michael Tukes, Systems Administrator for the Devils’ merchandise division, the Devils Den. The big appeal of M.O.M. for them was that it does not have all of the "loops and turns" that make other packages impossible to learn and maintain. Currently, the majority of the their sales volume is generated from mail order but Tukes went on to explain that the Devils intend to expand their efforts to bring in more orders from their web site at www.newjerseydevils.com. The Devils join a growing number of sports franchises, such as the New York Mets, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Indians, Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles, that have looked to Mail Order Manager for their catalog management needs.
